Hey commanders,
I was digging through some old, unfinished projects. I stumbled upon the notes for this tool and thought it was high time to bring it to life! I've been running GalaxyStats (galaxystats.net) quietly for a few weeks on Mars-EN with my alliance, and it's now stable enough to share properly. It's a free stats portal built entirely on Gameforge's public XML API (same data source used by long-running sites like ostats and mmorpg-stat). No game client modification, just a dashboard for anyone who wants to dig into rankings, history and server data.
Here's a walkthrough of what's on it.
1. Universe dashboard & rankings
Every tracked universe gets its own dashboard: player & alliance leaderboards (Total, Economy, Research, Military, Honor, plus the 4 Lifeform categories), refreshed hourly with 24h deltas so you can see who's actually moving, not just where everyone sits today.
Daily activity - movers & raider of the day
A per-universe daily panel: top climbers and fallers (by total points, 24h/7d/1m windows) and a "Raider of the day" ranked by Military Destroyed points gained — i.e. who actually wrecked the most fleet in combat that day.
Universe news feed
New players, status changes (vacation/inactive/banned/unbanned), new alliances, and alliance transfers (joined/left/moved). A daily feed per universe, so you don't have to manually track who's coming and going.
2. Player progression
Every player page has a full score/rank history chart (7d / 30d / 90d / 1 year), a category breakdown (economy/research/military/lifeforms), live hourly point gains, and a planets & moons list. Name history, alliance history and a full event timeline are tracked too.
3. "New universe?" (server finder)
Deciding where to start fresh? Filter every tracked universe by its actual ruleset - economy/research/fleet speeds (peace/war/holding separately), galaxy count, debris field % (ships and defenses separately), whether deuterium drops in debris, ACS availability, probes with cargo hold - and get back the list of servers that match. Pulled straight from each server's real configuration, not guesswork.
4. GalaxySim - a Combat Simulator (beta)
A fast battle simulator, currently in beta, linked straight from the sidebar/footer.
5. Position Finder
Looking for a free slot to colonize? Pick a universe, a galaxy/system range, position range, and optionally "near system X, at least N systems away" - it scans for genuinely empty coordinates (no planet, moon, or debris field sitting there).
6. Compare players
Track up to 8 players side by side over time, same score-history chart, so you can see how your account stacks up against rivals or friends across any date range.
7. Alliance intel
Alliance pages show the full member list with each member's planets, moons and coordinates, plus the alliance's own score history, handy for scouting a target alliance or just keeping tabs on your own.
8. Global rankings
A dedicated global leaderboard aggregating across all tracked universes, for the "who's actually the best right now" question.
9. Multi-community
GalaxyStats already collects data across EN/DE/FR/IT/ES/US (and is expanding to more European communities in the background). The public site currently focuses on EN, with the other communities' history quietly building up for when a community switcher ships.
10. Roadmap
There are many features planned that I will implement and roll out for testing as soon as they are ready.
Everything above is free, no account needed, it's all read from public data. The project is still in beta, so if you hit a bug, have a feature request, or just want to say hi, the Discord is the best place: https://discord.gg/W6Er7Mugwf
I worked alone on the project and made the idea, designing the concept and made UI, logo, brand identity and little parts of coding. Around of 90% of coding work was done by AI with my supervision.
Special thanks to the Bamboo alliance from Mars-UK, MOGA alliance from Scorpius-UK and some friends from Quadrantids-IT for feedback and bug reports.
