Colonization allows you to expand your empire by colonizing new planets. You will first have to build a colony ship and then send it on a colonization mission.

Colonization is only possible if you have the sufficient level of astrophysics technology completed.

Each position has a different possible range of planet fields. When you colonize, the amount of fields will be randomly assigned depending on the position. If you receive a planet you deem too small for long-term use, it is possible to abandon the planet and recolonize. Here you can you find the range of possibilities in terms of fields, temperature and bonus - all depending on the position you colonize in.

Position Minimum Fields Average Fields Maximum Fields Minimum Temperature Average Temperature Maximum Temperature Bonus
    1 x x x x x x x
    2 x x x x x x x
    3 x x x x x x x
    4 x x x x x x x
    5 x x x x x x x
    6 x x x x x x x
    7 x x x x x x x
    8 x x x x x x 35% Metal production bonus
    9 x x x x x x x
    10 x x x x x x x
    11 x x x x x x x
    12 x x x x x x x
    13 x x x x x x x
    14 x x x x x x x
    15 x x x x x x Highest Deuterium production

    Note:

    • The number of fields may differ according to universe settings.
    • The Discoverer class increases the planet size by 10% (it's 10% of the size = diameter, and not 10% of the number of fields).
    • The Researchers class (alliance) increases the planet size by 5% (it's 5% of the size = diameter, and not 5% of the number of fields)
    • Deuterium production depends on the temperature of the planet. The colder the planet the more deuterium will be produced.

    Getting Started

This guide is for complete beginners to help you get started while learning. The main goal here is to start developing your first planet enough for you to begin raiding inactive players, develop your second colony or protect your undefended planet.

First, you will have to select a class to receive additional benefits, depending on the intended playstyle.

It is recommended to start with the discoverer class as it offers fast growth in a short amount of time through continuous expedition missions, but this remains optional and at the player’s

    discretion.

The first step is to generate resource units by upgrading your mines and solar plants, you may follow the following building order as it is best practice to do so.

    Initial Build Steps

    Building Order Building/Technology Level
    1 Solar Plant 1
    2 Metal Mine 1
    3 Metal Mine 2
    4 Solar Plant 2
    5 Metal Mine 3
    6 Metal Mine 4
    7 Solar Plant 3
    8 Crystal Mine 1
    9 Solar Plant 4
    10 Metal Mine 5
    11 Crystal Mine 2
    12 Crystal Mine 3
    13 Solar Plant 5
    14 Deuterium Synthesizer 1
    15 Crystal Mine 4
    16 Solar Plant 6
    17 Metal Mine 6
    18 Metal Mine 7
    19 Solar Plant 7
    20 Crystal Mine 5
    21 Deuterium Synthesizer 2
    22 Solar Plant 8
    23 Deuterium Synthesizer 3
    24 Deuterium Synthesizer 4
    25 Solar Plant 9
    26 Deuterium Synthesizer 5
    27 Robotics Factory 1
    28 Robotics Factory 2
    29 Research Lab 1
    30 Shipyard 1
    31 Crystal Mine 6
    32 Shipyard 1
    33 Solar Plant 10
    34 Deuterium Synthesizer 6
    35 Metal Mine 8
    36 Energy Research 1
    37 Combustion Drive 1
    38 Solar Plant 11
    39 Crystal Mine 7
    40 Metal Mine 9

Congratulations Commander! You are now able to raid inactive players and research new technologies, but let’s not stop here, let us continue expanding our Empire by colonizing additional planets and unlocking the most powerful ship in the galaxy… The Deathstar.

Bonus: by following this guide you have unlocked task 1 and task 3 bonuses from the in-game tutorial rewards. Time to complete the remaining 8 tasks.
