I would like to share a utility tool I have been working on called StarGazer.

StarGazer is a lightweight companion script designed to help players organize galaxy information into a structured spreadsheet for personal analysis and target management. The script processes information already visible during normal galaxy navigation and stores it in a clean, searchable format.

Its purpose is to simplify record keeping by centralizing relevant galaxy data in a personal Google Sheets document, allowing players to review information more efficiently over time.

⚙️ Key Features

• Structured Data Collection

Captures standard information already displayed in the galaxy view, including coordinates, player names, ranks, activity indicators, planets, and moons.

• Custom Rank Filtering

Includes a configurable rank threshold (100–1000) that allows players to focus only on the ranges relevant to their tracking needs.

• Google Sheets Synchronization

Synchronizes locally stored session data with a personal Google Sheets document through a user-configured Apps Script endpoint.

• Manual & Scheduled Sync

Supports both manual synchronization and periodic updates for maintaining an up-to-date dataset.

• Compact Overlay Interface

Provides a lightweight floating panel displaying session statistics and synchronization status without disrupting gameplay.

🛡️ Compliance Notes

• StarGazer does not perform gameplay actions.

• The script does not send fleets, construct buildings, research technologies, activate buttons, or automate decision making.

• No interaction with game mechanics occurs beyond processing information already displayed to the player.

• All collected information remains under the user's control and is stored only within the player's own browser and spreadsheet configuration.

🛠️ Initial Setup Guide

1. Spreadsheet Layout

Create a new Google Sheet and place the following headers in Row 1 (Columns A–K):

2. Create the Google Apps Script Endpoint

• Open your spreadsheet.

• Navigate to Extensions → Apps Script.

• Replace the default template with your preferred doPost() handler.

• Click Deploy → New Deployment.

• Select Web App.

• Set execution permissions to You.

• Set access permissions to Anyone.

• Deploy and copy the generated Web App URL ending in /exec.

3. Connect StarGazer

• Ensure the userscript is installed and active.

• Open the StarGazer settings panel (⚙️).

• Paste your Apps Script endpoint URL.

• Save the configuration.

• Data synchronization is now available.
